CBS alumni are invited to join Stijn Van Nieuwerburgh, Earle W. Kazis and Benjamin Schore Professor of Real Estate and Co-Director of the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate, for a virtual talk on Friday, October 23.

Using original cost estimates and financial analysis, this talk offers a look at the economic and financial forces shaping the AI buildout, and who ultimately bears the risk.

​The Columbia Business School African American Alumni Association (4A) and Columbia Business School have partnered to invite alumni and select students to an intimate conversation with Dr. Judith Joseph, a board-certified psychiatrist, researcher, and New York Times bestselling author of High Functioning: Overcome Your Hidden Depression and Reclaim Your Joy, the first book to define High-Functioning Depression (HFD). She holds both an MD and an MBA from Columbia, which makes this a homecoming as much as an author talk. New York: WHAT'S YOUR STORY? How to Become More Memorable and Referable for What’s Next

Your experience may open the door. Your story determines what people remember. As careers progress, opportunities increasingly come through conversations, introductions and referrals. The question is: when your name comes up, what do people say about you? In this interactive 60-minute session, Brand Anthropologist Anouk Pappers will challenge participants to look at how they present themselves and how others experience their professional reputation. Ms. Pappers is a brand anthropologist who brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate reputation and storytelling and has interviewed over 900 CEOs, CMOs and entrepreneurs around the globe to understand what capabilities and qualities leaders have to project. She has seen, first-hand, as a C-Suite advisor, how important taking control of your online presence is to sustained success.
