Please join us for a workshop on Managing Stress to Enhance Performance as a Leader, facilitated by Professor Modupe Akinola, Faculty Director of the Bernstein Center for Leadership and Ethics at Columbia Business School. As part of the Leadership Development Series under the auspices of The Reuben Mark Initiative for Organizational Character and Leadership, this workshop will help you manage and adapt to stress in ways that can help increase productivity, enhance creativity, and improve health outcomes for leaders and their teams. It will help you harness the beneficial effects of stress in order to excel personally and professionally throughout your leadership journey. At the end of this workshop, you will be able to: -Understand how stress affects health and vitality, performance and productivity, and learning and growth -Develop strategies to avoid, reduce, and counteract stress in ways that maximize individual and organizational outcomes -Learn to identify stress triggers in yourself and in those with whom you work in an effort to enhance your individual and collective performance Attending this workshop will provide credit towards the Phillips Pathway for Inclusive Leadership (PPIL), focusing on the essential skill of creating inclusive environments. The Hard Call: Real-World Ethical Leadership from Military and Business Leaders (PPIL)

Join the Student Leadership and Ethics Board (SLEB) for a dynamic two-part workshop and panel discussion that will put your ethical decision-making skills to the test. Drawing on real experiences from the panel of military and business leaders, participants will work though one of their dilemmas to understand competing perspectives, stakeholders, values, and consequence at play. In the discussion to follow, panelists will walk through their own decision-making process and the outcome of the dilemma, ultimately sharing what they learned and how those lessons continue to shape the way they lead. Key Learning Objectives: -Frameworks for ethical decision-making in ambiguous situations -Exploring identity and perspective taking during ethical dilemmas -Engaging in dialogue and practicing communication across differing perspectives Attending this workshop will provide credit toward the Phillips Pathway for Inclusive Leadership (PPIL), focusing on the inclusive leadership skills of exploring Identity and perspective taking, and engaging in dialogue.
